About Us

The Reef Channel.com offers a user-friendly avenue to systematically explore coral reef life of the Indo Pacific, and encourages users to take their learning to the next level.

The Channel features a Video Encyclopedia which is the most extensive coral reef multimedia resource in existence. Designed as a teaching and learning tool, it features more than 200 short videos covering a wide range of reef animals, their habitats, pressures, research and management. New video content will be added regularly, including clips from Reef Channel partners.

The Reef Channel uses the highest quality of underwater cinematography, which allows us to create visually spectacular clips to engage our audience. The footage was filmed for television broadcast by Emmy-nominated cameraman Richard Fitzpatrick, who has shot more than 50 films for clients such as BBC, National Geographic and Discovery Channels, and is renowned for capturing complex behavioural sequences.
